Our Journey
The First Meet
Malang, 2018
When we first met in Malang in April 2018, the day was like any other. Tara joined Hany and his friends for coffee at a café after being asked by one of Hany's friends. Since then, we and our pals have regularly met for meals and coffee to work on our thesis. Tara asked for Hany's Line ID one day, and that's when our little exchanges started. Soon after, Tara was going to Surabaya, and Hany made a lighthearted request to bring Bread Papa's back to Malang. The following day, Tara messaged, "Kayaknya aku di depan kosan kamu", and he bought it 🤭. After that, we continued to go on coffee dates and support each other in completing our thesis.

Late March, maybe. We went for coffee after Hany's thesis consultation. However, Tara abruptly addressed Hany during our coffee date, asking that we should get to know each other better. It seems that was when our relationship began. After graduating from UB in November 2018, Hany accepted a job offer in Jakarta and relocated there right away. However, we were unable to say farewell because Tara was in Aceh wrapping up a project. Our unplanned long-distance relationship endured till 2020. That year, nevertheless, was truly difficult for us both because of our distance, our poor communication, and the absence of witnessing each other's life stories. So we decided to give up this relationship and pursue our individual goals.

Madiun, December 25, 2023
After a year, in 2021, Tara unexpectedly made contact with Hany again, saying, "I'm going to Bogor, but passing through Madiun, let's meet for a while." And I agreed, and thus, after a year of not speaking, we got back in touch. When we met, we felt attached again, and after reconnecting and catching up on each other's lives, we decided to give our relationship another chance with a deeper understanding and set goals for it. Despite many emotional ups and downs as well as dealing with our environments and families. On December 25, 2023, Tara and his family visited Madiun to express his seriousness, which was thankfully accepted warmly and well by both families. Soooo yaaaaaa let's start this adventure! ❤
